Hello!
This is my fifth year teaching at St. Stanislaus Kostka School. I am very excited to be here. I began my educational journey at St. Stanislaus, as a student, many years ago and now I have come back to continue my journey on the other side of the desk. As a Catholic School alumni, I fully understand the importance of integrating Catholic values and ideals into everyday learning. After St. Stanislaus Kostka school and after attending Hoosac Valley High school, I went on to study English literature at Southern Vermont College, where I earned several academic awards. I graduated from SVC with a BA in Literature and chose to pursue a career in education via the M. Ed program at MCLA. I spent two years teaching in the public sector, at Pittsfield High School, before finding my new home here at St. Stans. As the 8th grade teacher, I understand the importance of my role and promise to work hard at continuing the tradition and legacy built by the legends who have come before me. This year, I am trying bring technology into the classroom in many different ways. This year we will be using Thinkwave as our online grade book. www.thinkwave.com/secure/login/ Sara A Blanchette As the 8th grade teacher I will be teaching the following: 8th grade Religion 6th grade ELA (vocabulary, grammar and literature) 8th grade ELA (vocabulary, grammar and literature) 7th grade ELA (vocabulary, grammar and literature) *please see schedule and class pages for class specific details Please contact me at: [email protected] Cell phone: 413-663-4350 Click to set custom HTML
